Join Energy Savers Network team for weatherization projects on mobile homes at different locations throughout Buncombe County. On the project day, our project leader with a small team of volunteers (2-4 people) gathers together to apply simple energy-efficiency measures to homes of Buncombe County residents living on a limited income. Those are simple measures and no prior experience is necessary. The project leader goes over all the tasks, brings all the tools and supplies. Typically it takes anywhere between 2-4 hours. Measures can include: installing LED lightbulbs, weatherstripping doors, insulating water heater with an insulation blanket, insulating water pipes, sealing ducts with mastic, installing low flow shower head and aerators, insulating switchplate covers, etc.
