Join Conserving Carolina to restore the native habitat of Florence Nature Preserve. Help restore natural habitat and protect rare plants and wildlife by removing non-native, invasive plants and maintaining an important meadow habitat. You will also have a chance to explore some of the trails and great views this preserve has to offer!
Volunteers will hike about one moderate mile and will learn invasive plant ID. Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and bring water, snacks, and lunch. Tools, gloves, and extra water will be provided.
Meet at our Hendersonville office at 9:15AM to carpool or at the Upper Hickory Nut Gorge Trailhead (3836 Gerton HWY) at 10:00AM.
To RSVP or for more information email volunteer@conservingcarolina.org or call Olivia at 828-679-5777 ext. 211
