The City of Asheville is interested in partnering with the community to support the natural environment along the French Broad River in the River Arts District. Do you want cleaner water, thriving riparian forests and understory? Do you want to partner to make the public lands along the river a better home for its native plants and animals? Take part as an individual or as an organization by providing opportunities for technical, volunteer, partnership, funding and/or other resource assistance. Your input will be developed into a Community-based Action Plan that will seed the future natural health of our thriving river-town. The City of Asheville, with the help of consultant Equinox, will incorporate the Action Plan into the French Broad River Tree & Riparian Enhancement Plan, which will be completed in June 2018.

You Helped Make Our First Year a Success!

Over the month of April, 733 people volunteered their time with 23 nonprofit groups to take part in 58 workdays and service opportunities throughout WNC!  Our business and community challenge also brought 11 business teams and community groups into the fold.

Thank you!
